National Policy Forum

IMG_2519b smallThe National Policy Forum is the arena in which Labour leadership, MPs, member representatives and our trade union colleagues come together to discuss policy and work towards Labour’s general election manifesto.

In 2010 I was elected by Labour Party members from across Yorkshire & the Humber to represent them on the party’s National Policy Forum. I was re-elected for a second term in 2012.

I was recently elected by my fellow NPF reps to sit on the Joint Policy Committee and I am a member of the Better Politics policy commission.

I very much see it as my role to facilitate policy discussions within our region – that’s why I have organised events in all corners of Yorkshire & Humber and attend local meetings wherever I am invited – as well as to make sure that the views of party members are heard in the policy process.

If you’d like to get in touch or to invite me to attend a local CLP meeting, please don’t hesitate to do so.
